If a cold southern brew is your preferred drop, take a seat at one of our thriving craft breweries or take a tour of our award-winning distilleries.

See if our taster itinerary tingles your buds or tell us what you like, and our local guides will do the rest.

Pinot to Pilsner
Taste test the region with a delicious day exploring the very best of our fine wine and culinary delights. Our local guides will take your buds on a journey from stunning vineyard to craft brewery – you can even hook your own salmon for lunch.

Family Adventure

Create memories, forge bonds and reignite the spark, with a family adventure through the heart of Wanaka. Our stunning sights and laid-back community have created an exhilarating haven for families since way back, with a range of activities and adventures that suit explorers of all sizes. The opportunities are endless but take a look at two experiences and let us plan the perfect family adventure for you.

Fun on the Farm
Ever hand-fed an alpaca or sipped hot chocolate at the peak of an alpine farm? Add some unique memories to your family photo album with a four-wheel drive through a working ranch. Get up close to wild Red Deer and Angus cattle, learn the ways and tales of our farmers and take in the surrounding views of Lake Wanaka, ancient glaciers and snow-capped mountains over a warm cuppa.

Lake to Field
Give your family a taste of adventure and explore Wanaka from crystal blue waters to fauna-filled plains. Begin with a four-wheel scenic drive through a fully operational farm, hand-feed sheep and alpaca, see Red Deer and cattle up close and follow it all up with an easy thirty-minute lakeside stroll. Catch your own lunch at Hook – Wanaka’s very own salmon fishing lakes, then head to Puzzling World for a family favourite.

Photography Tours

Wanaka’s stunning scenery is among the most photographed in New Zealand, which is why taking a bespoke journey is all the more important. Our local guides have private and exclusive access to the most unique photogenic locations our home has to offer.

Sunrise or sunset stunners, captured by foot, four-wheel drive or helicopter – there’s a scene to be snapped off the beaten track by every type of photographer.

Early Riser
Our earlybird photography adventure is perfect for those dedicated to the shot. Head out before dawn and hitch a ride in our four-wheel drive to our favourite private and exclusive mountain-top vantage point, high over Lake Wanaka. Sit back and relax with a freshly brewed coffee and home baking, then shoot the southern sunrise.

Follow up a once-in-a-lifetime morning with a worthy day and follow our guides through more of Wanaka’s best photo locations – or even jump in a chopper and fly to a nearby glacier for that perfect shot.

Conservation

An integral part of our philosophy is giving back to the local community and respecting the land – after all, we are merely custodians. We work with local conservation groups on ongoing planting projects and predator control programmes, offering an opportunity for our guests to get involved and leave our spectacular land even better than how they found it.

Hands-on Conservation Experience
Get one-on-one with our native wilderness and play your part to keep our country beautiful for generations of explorers to come. Get inspired at Wanaka’s unique community native plant nursery, learn about our fascinating flora and the challenges our environment faces, then get your hands dirty potting plants or preparing seedlings for the big outdoors. From green fingers to four-wheel drives, we’ll then venture into the hills to help with our very own predator control programme.

Don your hiking boots, soak up the tales and tips from our local guides and take in the exclusive scenery from our private alpine trails you won’t find in any tour guide.
